Kobel may have taken the scenic route to make it where he is today, but he professes realizing the Love of our Father has been the greatest journey yet…
Come hear his powerful testimony on Oct 11, 2016, Buy Tables & Tickets Here! With a “customer and community come first” philosophy, Mr. Ed Kobel leads DeBartolo Development’s investment strategy, execution and capitalization. His approach has led their team to create a nationwide real estate investment platform that spans from Hawaii to Puerto Rico. Capitalized by the DeBartolo Family and major capital commitments that Mr. Kobel secured with institutional partners, DeBartolo Development has acquired and developed nearly $5 billion in real estate. In anticipation of the recent real estate slowdown, Mr. Kobel recently expanded the scope of DeBartolo Development to include investment funds and asset management. Under his leadership, the company launched a Community Reinvestment Fund that has invested $400 million into value-added real estate in the states of North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama and Florida. The fund actively looks for areas where there is need to create more job opportunities by revitalizing shopping centers in depressed communities and providing a vehicle to improve the quality of life in these urban areas. Further, Mr. Kobel has launched and capitalized two other funds, DeBartolo Opportunity Fund I and II, with several hundred millions in assets.
Originally from Pittsburgh, Penn., Mr. Kobel served in the U.S. Army’s counter-intelligence department. He lives in Tampa, FL, with his wife Becky of 31 years and daughters Elizabeth and Katherine.
